July 7 2022 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Monterey Amberjacks 21-8 at Albert Park behind a 23-hit attack and four home runs. San Rafael surged to a 16-4 lead after three innings by scoring four runs in the first six in the second and five in the third. The Pacifics added five runs in the seventh to maintain control of the game.
Beau Dorman went 4-for-6 with four runs scored three RBI and a home run for San Rafael. Daniel Aldrich scored four runs and drove in three while Jonathan Waite finished with three hits four runs and two RBI including a home run. Tyler Georgeson added four RBI and homered while Alex Aguilar had three hits and three RBI. Tyson Thompson contributed two hits two runs and an RBI.
Monterey scored twice in the fourth and twice in the eighth but could not close the gap. Brenden Spaulding went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a home run while Brenden Flaherty also homered and drove in two. The Amberjacks collected 13 hits but committed four errors.
Jayson Summers earned the win after allowing six runs on seven hits in four innings with four walks and three strikeouts. Kyle Ulanday followed with three scoreless innings allowing four hits and striking out four. Tom Fitzpatrick took the loss for Monterey after surrendering 21 runs on 22 hits in seven innings with three walks and one strikeout.
